show all Born and raised in the Bayou Country of Louisiana, Lew Temple brings a unique flavor of New Orleans to his work. Adding several years of Texas residency, rounds out his "Southern" style and sensibility. Prior to studying his craft in Brooklyn College, Lew was a professional baseball player. After spending four years in the Minor Leagues in the Seattle and Houston organizations, he began a career as a coach and scout for the Houston Astros. Leaving baseball for his pursuit of acting he was fortunate enough to work at the award-winning Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas, working with Vanessa and Corin Redgrave in Shakespeare producitons of Antony and Cleopatra, and Julius Caesar. Eventually he landed a re-occurring role on the CBS series, Walker, Texas Ranger. He has also been seen in several independent films, Rolling Kansas, On the Borderline, Born to Win, as well as studio films such as Angels in the Outfield, Newton Boys and 21 Grams. Lew, "The Cowboy Poet", is currently on several writing projects as well as auditioning in Los Angeles. He likes baseball old cars, vintage clothes, music, and the "Cowboy" way.
